About Rapha Counseling Center

Fara Murata is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who earned a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Denver with an emphasis in Child Welfare. She has worked with thousands of children, adolescents, adults and families. In 2001, she founded her private practice, Rapha Counseling Center in Arvada, Colorado, where she provides mental health services to children, adolescents, adults and families.

Services include:

  • Using Nutritional Evaluations and brain health knowledge to provide assessment and treatment.
  • Intervention and support for victims of sexual abuse, domestic violence, and trauma victims.
  • Treats anxiety, depression, and a variety of other mental health issues.
  • Treatment of adopted and foster children, and reactive attachment disorder.

Rapha Counseling Center looks for root causes to treat the whole person and utilizes the latest research in brain health for lasting results.

Fara specializes in trauma, abuse, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, parent-child conflict, behavioral problems in children, and works with families that have children on the Autism spectrum. She is a nutritional specialist that implements functional evaluations to treat the whole person in resolving many mental health issues.

Fara is Level II EMDR Certified. She is compassionate and dedicated to finding root cause problems to resolve issues with lasting results. EMDR can be provided for trauma victims. Additionally, serves clients through variety of agencies, including Social Services, Victim’s Compensation, Ralston House, physician and psychiatric referrals.

2015 selected Best of Arvada Award for Marriage, Family, Child & Individual

Provided therapeutic services for clients of the Colorado Homeless Families, a transitional housing program. This included individual counseling and consultation to case workers and the program director. 7/01-7/08.

Provided therapeutic services for Hope House of Colorado.  This included individual counseling for the teen moms, program consulting and development of therapeutic services, coordination of community services, and training/education to the staff. 6/01-12/06
